STORY LINE

Three lost children thrust together by a monster attack to go on a journey to escape a mysterious black flood threatening the underworld.

Each of the protagonists has their own conflicts, their own home to return to, and their own light to shine.

a lost little kid who miss your home more than everything.

hes very INNOCENT, but to Ingenuous. curious BUT CLUMSY. HE defend HIS friends at any cost AND HE’S THE SOLD OF THE TEAM! his light is beyond the stars. His jorney will make him doubt about his nature and who he is, but at the end, he will fit his ROLE IN THIS STORY

The mask boy

A QUIET AND STRANGE LITTLE KID WHO HAVE A MAGIC BOOK, from where your light came from.

He is very wise, but he doesn't know how to express himself very well HE HIGHLY JUDGES THE ACTIONS OF OTHERS AND ALWAYS DECIDES THE DIRECTION. HIS JOURNEY WILL FORCE HIM TO BE MORE VOLATILE, ADAPTABLE AND INTUITIVE

The monster boy

VERY STRONG AND SCARY, EDGYE AND RUDE. BUT SMALL AND INSECURE. UNDERNEATH IT ALL, THERE IS A HEART OF GOLDEN.

DURING HIS JOURNEY, HE WILL HAVE MANY FALLS, HAVING TO DEAL WITH MANY OLD DEMONS. BUT IT WILL EMBRACE YOUR DARK SIDE, AND MAKE YOUR MORE HUMAN SIDE SHINE.

However, the residents of this giant cave never leave their homes, AFRAID THEIR FIRE WILL GO OUT AND LEAVE THEM IN THE DARK. but they consuming the fire in peace inside their comfortable homes, YET they never risk going out with this fire through the cave.

During the journey through the cave, secrets are revealed through ancient mystical altars, writings on the walls telling the story of the underground people and the truth behind the magic of light and the origin of the underground people. nothing is what it seems

the cave have many levels, and at the levels more close to the surface, we can see the light becoming more and more present, with societies less and less dependent on fire and with kingdoms becoming larger, and trials becoming more and more challenging. even wars towards the kingdoms starts to be something usual. we are not at nigredo no more

AN ANCESTRAL CREATURE CREATED A LONG TIME AGO, THE GOLEM WAS GIVEN THE MISSION OF PROTECTING THE PEOPLE OF NIGREDO. HOWEVER, PROTECTION IS A LITTLE VAGUE, AND IT BECOMES AN OBSTACLE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET TO THE SURFACE, WHICH ACCORDING TO HIM, IS NOT A GOOD IDEA

With a small community forming around Calling for the Last Light, the possibility of a KickStarter came to mind! with the goal of

The initial idea would be to produce a 20-minute episode.

Along with the episode, several exclusive materials for the series would be produced as rewards for donors, such as exclusive mini-games giving the player the possibility to explore this world further, personalized pixelated illustrations and more!

But we didn't want to stop there,

as it is an animated series with a completely unique and pioneering method of animation in pixel art and 2D, for higher prizes we also give the possibility of participating in a short course that we will do with the animation team in the first month before our production starts! Deepening animation methods and tools to achieve the result we create

Episode synopsis

In a small village in the depths of Nigredo, the underworld, a unique girl chases shadows cast by village house windows.

She stumbles upon a boy in a red cape near a dark cave, being pulled out by another boy in a yellow mask.

The masked boy flees upon seeing the girl, leaving the boy in the red cape alone with her. he’s confuse and make some questions for her.

Intrigued and curious about the new world he’s just knowing, the boy ventures into a nearby house, discovering a lively event where everyone dances around a bonfire.

everything changes when the people see something coming out of the shadows, but this time isn’t a monster as usuall. it’s a kid
